OF HOTEL opened in July 2022 in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, as a new lifestyle hotel that blends the old and the new of Tohoku, carrying its spirit into the future.
Housed in a renovated 50-year-old building, the structure has been reinforced for earthquake resistance and upgraded for improved insulation.
With a range of carefully considered facilities, OF HOTEL invites guests to experience new encounters and discoveries rooted in the rich culture and charm of Tohoku.

Recommend Rooms

All guest rooms feature a raised flooring area, inviting guests to remove their shoes and unwind in comfort.
Please note that the entire property is completely smoke-free, including the use of electronic cigarettes.

Wokers Double

Ideal for business trips or casual stays for one or two guests. This room features a modern Japanese-style raised flooring area. Recommended for both work and leisure stays.

Superior Fourth

This en-suite room with a bathtub accommodates up to five guests. It features two 120 cm semi-double beds and one 90 cm-wide loft-style bunk bed. Perfect for families or groups of friends.

Installation artwork “TEIEN”

Created by the Sendai-based visual design studio WOW, which also works internationally, this installation brings digital art into a spatial experience that is both immersive and creative.
In the entrance hall, videos inspired by the natural landscapes of the Tohoku region are projected over a floor designed with rounded stones, evoking the feeling of a traditional Japanese garden. The seamless connection between indoors and outdoors creates a particularly striking atmosphere.
The flooring incorporates Gensho and Akiu stones from Miyagi Prefecture, as well as Towada stones from Akita Prefecture—materials chosen to reflect the spirit of the local land.

A presentation of spaces where Tohoku's materials and technologies welcome you.

We have created spaces where guests can experience the innovative materials and traditional craftsmanship of the Tohoku region throughout their stay.
At the reception, guests are welcomed at a counter made of Akita cedar, surrounded by displays of recycled Tanabata decorations.
The second-floor lounge features a carefully curated selection of vintage furniture, including lighting crafted by Nebuta artisans and wooden furniture by Tendo Mokko, a renowned maker from Yamagata Prefecture.
In the guest rooms, you’ll find chestnut wood flooring, Sakiori (rag-woven) cushions from Iwate Prefecture, and lighting made with Shiroishi washi paper from Miyagi Prefecture.

There are cafés and bars available not only for hotel guests but also for the local community.
Hotel guests can use the second-floor lounge as a spacious area to work at a desk, relax, or chat with other travelers.
The café also serves breakfast in the morning.

BAR BLUE

At BAR BLUE, producers, customers, and the restaurant come together to create a three-way win–a place where everyone benefits.
The bar offers a 12-course tasting menu featuring ingredients from the Tohoku region, along with a variety of other course meals.
A curated selection of Tohoku sake, natural wines, and local mineral waters is also available.
We take great care in selecting the water used for cooking, showcasing the unique characteristics of water sourced from across Tohoku.

CAFÉ DARESTORE COFFEE ROASTERY

This café features a coffee roaster on-site, serving freshly roasted specialty coffee.
Breakfast and house-made sweets are also available during café hours.
The staff includes experienced baristas who have worked in Melbourne and a chef who previously worked at a renowned restaurant in Sendai, bringing their expertise to every cup and plate.
